Marita Ulvskog has been a Member of the European Parliament since the 2009 election. She is Head of Delegation for the Swedish Social Democrats in the European Parliament. Since the 2014 election, Marita Ulvskog is member and 1st Vice Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism. Ulvskog is also Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with Palestine as well as substitute in the Delegation for relations with the United States.
The most important questions for Marita Ulvskog are employment issues including unemployment and the fight against social dumping, as well as issues regarding the environment, climate and human rights.
Marita Ulvskog has a long history in Swedish politics: Party Secretary. Minister of Public Administration. Minister of Culture. Member of the Swedish Riksdag. University degree in Journalism and worked as both journalist and Editor-in-Chief.
